Bid4Assests.com
BID4ASSETS® was inspired by a real world auction experience. In February
1999 the company's founders were bidding on a $5 million building at a traditional auction on the COURTHOUSE STEPS® in Baltimore. For two hours, nearly a hundred investors stood shivering in the cold and snow with cashier's checks in hand. Our founders imagined a better way to auction high-value assets: the Internet. Bid4Assets was incorporated that week, and in November 1999 bid4assets.com was launched.
Bid4Assets is the online auction marketplace for high-value assets like real estate, jewelry and rare collectibles.
Government agencies and an extensive community of private sellers rely on Bid4Assets to connect with buyers interested in unique personal property and real estate. Auctions have included everything from one-of-a-kind historic cars, luxurious estates and spectacular jewelry to the Presidential Yacht Sequoia and exotic cars.
Government auctions have been a specialty at Bid4Assets since our early days when we began helping the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) sell forfeited assets ranging from cars, boats and planes to real estate, artwork, jewelry and much more. Today numerous federal, state and county government agencies partner with Bid4Assets to sell a wide variety of forfeited, surplus, tax-defaulted and foreclosed property online. In addition to the U.S. Marshals Service, federal and state agencies that hold auctions on Bid4Assets include the U.S. Department of Treasury, the U.S. Department of Energy, the State of New Jersey and more than 40 counties nationwide.
Our approach and reputation make us the online auction marketplace for high-value assets. Because of our experience working with the U.S. Marshals Service, state and county governments, and private sellers, we are the unparalleled leader in online auctions for high-value items.
In February 2008, Bid4Assets launched bid4homes.com, an enhanced, real estate-only online auction site.

 Capital Restaurants
Capital Restaurant Concepts., Ltd. (CRC) is the premier restaurant operator in the metro Washington, DC/Baltimore area. We operate 11 restaurants of 7 different concepts, all created internally.
Our history goes back to the 1982 opening of J.Paul's — An American Dining Saloon, in Washington, DC's historic Georgetown. Originated by Paul J. Cohn, the restaurant was an immediate success and one of the catalysts in the rejuvenation of Washington's entertainment district. In 1985, J.Paul's, was acquired by Capital Management and Development Corporation (CMDC). An entrepreneurial organization since its inception, CMDC financed the growth of the company through partnerships, all under the common management and control of CMDC.
In late 1994 and early 1995, ownership of the U.S. restaurants was consolidated. This was a major step in the evolution of CMDC's restaurants to a sophisticated company managed by industry professionals with significant depth and expertise. Today we are known as Capital Restaurant Concepts, Ltd.
Georgia Brown's
Low-Country Cuisine. The Soul of Washington, D.C. Gracious service and Southern Hospitality. Simply succulent.
Unique in design, Georgia Brown's warmly opened its doors in 1993. Part of the visual appeal lends itself to the bronzed ceiling scroll reminiscent of grand Oak trees outstretched like a lace border over Southern streets. Blonde woods cascade through the restaurant giving a sense of calm motion, like a summer ride down a lazy river.
Food is to be slowly savored, traditional fried green tomatoes, Perleau straight from Charleston, and fried chicken to compete with your grandmama's. Proper desserts like homemade ice cream will cause you to swing your feet childlike while your spoon clatters getting every last bite.
Georgia Brown's offers a tailored side of the South. Sunday brunches are spiced with live jazz, power lunches are for talking politics, and the evening meal is savored. So eat up, but put your napkin in your lap.
n the late 17th century all land south of Virginia was granted to the Barbadian planters. From Pawley’s Island to the Savannah River, the Low Country stretched inland about seventy miles, Charleston lying at the heart. The seas and rivers were abundant with oysters, crab, shrimp and endless varieties of fish. To this bountiful land, settlers brought riches from their native soils. The West Africans brought with them knowledge of rice growing, as well as their native benne seeds, hot peppers, black eyed peas, field peas, eggplants, and more. Native Americans introduced pecans and file, a powder made from sassafras leaves that was used as a gumbo thickener. The Powhatan Indians showed the settlers how to dehull and soak corn, then grind it into what Southerners came to know as hominy grits. The Africans, the French Huguenots and the Sephardic Jews from Portugal and Spain influenced the cooking with foods from their homeland. As a result of their efforts, you can now experience this diverse and history-rich cuisine at Georgia Brown’s…
Old Glory BBQ
Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post.
The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.
We feature authentic Bar-B-Que. Great Bar-B-Que ain't just cooked... It's nurtured, it's felt. It can come from a sawed off 55 gallon drum on the side of the road in Savannah, or from the sparkling kitchen of a 150 seat restaurant in Kansas City, but the feeling is the same, True "Q".
In addition to our reowned Bar-B-Que, other signature items include Claw Hammer Pulled Pork and our Award Winning Lamb. We ain't just whistlin' Dixie here - take a look at the trophy case in the front of the restaurant!
Of all the culinary styles to be found in our vast land, Bar-B-Que is uniquely, authentically, and gloriously All American.
To salute the essence and diversity of our nation's regional cooking styles, Old Glory offers genuinely slow cooked meats and an array of regional housemade bar-b-que sauces and dry rubs that reflect the styles developed in some of our country's greatest bar-b-que locales.

Twenty-two years later, Paolo’s is still bustling with energy and excitement, where conversations are lively, and the offerings exceptional. Paolo’s offers an intimate yet lively dining experience for all, where guests are greeted and made to feel at home with our house-made breadsticks, and famous olive tapenade, a gift from our chef. The History of J.Pauls
J. Paul’s is Washington’s quintessential turn of the century American Dining Saloon. The original, located in the heart of Georgetown, sits in a historical building over 100 years old and has now been one of D.C.’s most popular watering holes for the last 25 years.
The J. Paul’s bar in Georgetown boasts a 100 year old mahogany shotgun bar built by the Brunswick Balke Coolander Company. Previously housed in a grand saloon in the Chicago stockyards, many will swear over their scotch that Al Capone himself bellied up to that very bar. Antique brass elevator doors from New York’s Waldorf Astoria frame the back dining room and add to the turn-of-the century charm.
Located a few short blocks from the Potomac River, the original J. Paul’s has become an institution to those from every generation and all walks of life. Every day, politicians, journalists, artists, business people and Washington personalities share tables with students, tourists and ex-Pats in the nation’s capital.
There are many places to dine in the Washington area. There are only a few, however, that combine excellent food, personal service, and a stimulating atmosphere in an historic setting. J. Paul’s is one of them.
Some two decades ago, Baltimore’s waterfront underwent a renaissance with the creation of Harborplace, which evokes a century and more of history and urban lore. J. Paul’s was a classic addition to that cityscape. Opened in 1997, J. Paul’s in the Baltimore Harbor brings the same “prohibition era” charm of the original location to the waterfront.
Locals and tourists alike embrace J. Paul’s in the Harbor, well known for its outside bar on the waterfront and the infamous Crab Room. J. Paul’s adds a flavor of true American style cuisine, personal service and unfounded ambiance to one of Baltimore’s most enjoyed locales.
As J. Paul’s celebrates its 25th Anniversary, we invite you to join us by submitting your memories and creating more at either of our locations. Both the Georgetown and Baltimore saloons feature private dining rooms which can entertain parties from 5 to 50 or more.

The Power of Golf…
Golf is one of Ben Witter’s earliest memories. At the age of three Ben’s father and grandfather introduced him to the game that would eventually win him numerous accolades, place him in top magazines like Sports Illustrated, Golf Digest and others and ultimately save his life.
Ben’s lifelong dream of playing on the PGA tour was cut short at the age of 23. Newly married and just on the cusp of breaking in big, Ben found himself in the hospital, diagnosed with a rare form of mouth cancer. After a grueling fight with cancer in which he lost his jaw and more than 40 pounds, Ben was at the lowest point of his life. His day consisted of tapping his morphine drip over and over to deal with the pain. It was at this point that Ben’s mother came into his room, placed a sand wedge and a golf ball on his hospital bed and said, “You need to figure out your life.”
The sand wedge and ball came to symbolize a new start. To distract himself from pressing the morphine drip, Ben began tracking how many times he could tap the ball off of the wedge. In time, he got so good nurses and oncologists would line outside his door to see the “trick of the day.” One oncologist took a particular interest in Ben and invited him to a tournament he was attending after Ben was discharged.
That initial rained-out tournament where Ben showcased his trick shots to entertain the crowd, turned into additional invitations and offers that spanned more than 20 years of tournaments, coaching opportunities and contests. Ben soon became nationally known as one of the world’s greatest trick shot Ball Strikers and impressed golfers nationwide with a 409 yard recorded drive. Since the low of his life in that hospital bed more than 20 years ago, Ben has redirected his mission into mastering the fundamentals and skills necessary to create extraordinary trick shots and is known the world over for his amazing drives. He now shares his passion, skills and secrets with you Rip it 300 Yards.

Architectural cast stone is a man-made stone that mimics natural limestone. It has been used throughout the last century on buildings and homes across the nation. The stone is a sand based stone that produces a very detailed finish wherever it is used. Pieces of cast stone vary from small keystones that are used above windows and doors, to heavy columns used at main entrances. Cast stone gives buildings and homes a classical look as well as detailing the edges, doors, windows, and main structures. But other than the aesthetic appeal, precast has great utility which is the reason it is an integral component in many infrastructure projects.

We significantly expanded our product offering once again with the acquisition of the American Device Postal Specialties line in July 1998. Two short years later, Florence Corporation acquired Cutler Manufacturing Corporation - a venerable century old company that had manufactured postal products for the likes of the Empire State Building and the John Hancock Building.
